I immediately knew which model I wanted to help me take a tutorial night for off camera flash at Kilmaurs Photographic Club recently. I’ve followed her on Instagram for quite some time and loved her creativity and effortless posing she shows in her posts.
I knew that I could rely on her to be patient with photographers new to studio type photography or unfamiliar with their cameras and settings and I knew that she’d come along to the evening with a fabulous costume. Being so close to Halloween I suggested she put together a look and costume that would be appropriate and give the club members a great experience.
Jacklyn knocked it out the park I have to say. Her attention to detail and fantastic makeup skills sold the vampire look completely, although we couldn’t understand a word she said with those fangs in!!
Even her dog, Frank, came along dressed for the occasion and was a superstar.

Jacklyn goes by her stage name Dame Diablo and is a creative, artist, burlesque performer, photographer and to top it all, she’s a nurse. She has a wealth of modelling experience and I have to say a big thank you to her. Jacklyn you were fangtastic!
Check out Jacklyn’s website at Calvard Creative for her photography and look out for her performing in burlesque shows all over Scotland.
Thanks also to the members of Kilmaurs Photographic Club for a great evening and I’m sure there are a great many competition worthy images appearing shortly from them.
