Scottish women with attitude in a castle courtyard

Bad ass Scottish women wearing kilts and Dr. Martens, bringing the attitude for my camera in an Ayrshire castle on a Sunday morning whilst American tourists stare with their mouths open. What’s not to love about that scenario?

We had a great morning making some promotional images for Theatre Alliance‘s next show, Damn Rebel Bitches. They’ve captured the title more succinctly than my Bad Ass Scottish Wearing Kilts and DMs etc…….. which might well have caused havoc with fitting the title on the tickets!! Good thing.

The show will be performed outdoors in the Dean Castle courtyard on the 26th August at 7pm which will really add to the atmosphere and be absolutely amazing I’m sure. It’s a riotous new dance comedy based on a retelling of the 1745 Jacobite rebellion from the women’s perspective.

It was great fun to create these promo images and the ladies brought the attitude. Some killer poses and deathly stares were dealt in my direction with expert accuracy!

I could post lots of images from the day as we all pulled together to create some memorable shots.

Many thanks to all the braw women for not battering me …. I mean, for bringing their Jacobite ancestral roots on the day.

Thanks also to the East Ayrshire Leisure staff for their assistance and  keeping the Americans tourists out our way!

The Dean Castle really is an Ayrshire jewel and a sight to behold especially since it’s recent renovation. It’s looking fair braw and if you get a chance go see it and the grounds a bonus is that it’s absolutely free to access,
