This last year I have been so grateful to have had my images score highly in competitions. It is without any doubt the best year I have ever had with my competition entries.
I’m a member of two amazing photographic organisations, The Guild of Photographers and also The Societies of Photographers.
Challenging myself to go up against the best professional and amateur photographers in the world every month takes a lot of hard work and creativity to keep myself fresh. Pushing myself to do the hard bit when it’s so easy to keep going with the easy stuff has yielded my first ever GOLD award!
I found out today that my monochrome image of my son in my wife’s safe arms has been upgraded from Highly Commended to BLOODY GOLD!!!
It doesn’t stop there though. Having been awarded GOLD now puts it forward to be considered as a possible Image of the Year with The Societies of Photographers, so keep everything crossed for me please.
I’m keeping my creative books open this year and want to continue to work with other creatives to hopefully produce more award winning images.
